Wrong Side of Paradise by Black Star Riders

Black Star Riders released its last album, “Wrong Side of Paradise,” on January 20, 2023. In an interview, frontman and main songwriter Ricky Warwick spoke about the new album.

When asked how he started working on the new album “Wrong Side of Paradise,” he replied as follows:

“When we know we’re working on a new album, I start sorting and finalizing these ideas. I started working really intensively in January 2020, and by March 2020, pretty much everything was finished. In summer 2020, I went to Christian Martucci’s studio, and we recorded the demos of all the songs that had been recorded so far. “

“When we were ready to record properly, I had the feeling that we were still missing one or two songs. So I wrote ‘Better Than Saturday Night’ and ‘This Life Will Be The Death Of Me’ a month before we went into the studio, which must have been in September 2021. Our producer Jay Ruston heard the tracks and really wanted them on the record, so that was a last-minute thing….”
