Depeche Mode cancels Finland concert due to bad weather
Unfortunately, there is bad news for the Finnish fans of Depeche Mode. The Depeche Mode concert in Finland scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled by the organizer Livenation due to the expected storm.
The Momento Mori tour was successfully underway. Depeche Mode was expecting to meet his fans in Finland on Tuesday. Unfortunately, bad news came today.
Livenation, the event organizer announced the cancellation of the concert on Monday afternoon, citing bad weather anticipated for the Helsinki area on Tuesday evening.
The decision was taken following a comprehensive safety assessment conducted in collaboration with the Finnish Safety Agency (Tukes) and the capital’s emergency services, according to the statement.
Although the severity of the oncoming storm was unknown as of Monday afternoon, Livenation stated that the forecast of severe winds could pose a serious safety risk to personnel, the general public, and the event’s entire production.
The message further stated that no new date for the show will be scheduled, and purchasers are thus asked to return their tickets to the point of purchase.
